Sir Elton John and his husband, David Furnish, welcomed a baby boy, Zachary, on Christmas Day. Elton is now talking about how happy he is to have the little boy in their family.
“We have fulfilled a dream in finally becoming parents, and are so happy and excited at this very special time. Zachary is a gorgeous little baby and we are so proud of him.”
Elton also explained how they came up with Zachary’s name.
“A friend gave us a book of baby names, and we started to flick through it, but we have always loved the name Zachary and kept coming back to it. In the end, we looked at each other, and put the book back on shelf, and said, “This is it!’”
I know that I never used a baby name book for my kids. I always had a bunch I wanted to name my kids.
